Family Celebration

Today I got up early and hung out with Mommy. We had breakfast, read three stories, and we played on the floor. We also watched a few videos. I was in a pretty good mood.

Later in the day we took a ride to Grandmom and Grandad Wilson's to celebrate Aunt Becky's Birthday. Mommy got some pictures of me with the family. What she didn't see was my dancing on the table and laughing with Noelle.

Here I am with my Grandmom.

I was playing Pacman with Daddy here.

My Aunts and Uncles were trying to make me laugh.
Uncle Bob, Aunt Chris, and Aunt Sharon are seen with me in this picture.

Here I am with Aunt Sharon. I promised her more smiles over the weekend and I delivered.

Here's Aunt Becky with her birthday cake.
I fell asleep before everyone sang Happy Birthday, so Mommy took this for me.

Dress-Up

This morning I played dress-up with Mommy.
She was trying out some of the things we got at the store last night to make sure that I liked them. She was surprised that I wore my tiara and didn't try to take it off right away.

She also got some clips to try in my hair.
When she showed me in the mirror I had a big smile. I think it looks very pretty.

Later we played on the quilt. I was really interesting in biting things.
First I tried something hard.
Then I wanted to bite the horsey. He's so soft.

Here's the thing Mommy wishes I would bit the most.

Then we went went to help Aunt Chris and Aunt Sharon move into Aunt Chris's new house. I couldn't really lift things, but with Aunt Janey I helped manage the work. I was so happy to see Noelle and Ray. Noelle kept called me "Happy Harmony." I think that's a nice nickname. Noelle and I took a little walk to the playground. I was very sleepy, so I just rode in the stroller. Noelle went down a few sliding boards and had lots of fun. I also had lots of giggles for Uncle Greg. And I enjoyed it when Mommy, Aunt Bev, Aunt Patti, Aunt Becky and Noelle were singing "Down By the Bay."

Next we went to the store to help get some furniture for Aunt Patti and Mommy. It was good that Daddy has a truck that can hold it. When we dropped off the furniture at Aunt Patti's, Mommy's friend Miss Eve came over to meet me and Daddy. She used to ride the train with Mommy when she lived with Aunt Chris. I was so good for Miss Eve. She is so nice and pretty. I was glad to meet her.

I was so sleepy when we got home. Mommy woke me up so I could eat and play for a little while, but I was so sleepy and just wanted to go back to bed.

Shoebox Car

Today I was home with Daddy during the day because school was closed. We had a fun time. Daddy made a shoebox car for me and could pull me from room to room. It was so much fun to ride in it. I love it! My cold is still bothering me a little. My nose was stuffy. I didn't want to eat all my carrots today, so Daddy could tell I wasn't my usual self. We went to the store and got something to help my nose.

At night we had to go to get Mommy at work and then drop Daddy off to class. Since I fell asleep in the car Mommy decided to take me to the mall, so we could get a few things for the wedding. I was so happy in the store. It was fun to look around at all the cool stuff. When we were done I was a little hungry, so Mommy gave me a bottle. I also like looking around at the mall there were so many other kids there and it was funny to hear them all making sounds. When we got home I had pears. They are becoming one of my favorites. I ate them quickly and wanted more.

Under the Weather

Today I seemed to be quite under the weather. I ate and drank fine and did not have a fever. I was very sad though. My nose ran constantly and I coughed a lot. My eyes were watery and I really just wanted to be held so I got lots of hugs & TLC. I played with bubbles and was amazed by them. It kept me content. I was happy in the afternoon. I played in the walker for a little while too. Grant and I played while waiting for our parents.

When I got home I ate my prunes again and had a little bottle to drink. Tamme came over and I had tons of big smiles for her. She's so nice. Mommy got a little concerned because I was rubbing my eye and not exactly sleepy yet. It did not affect my mood though. I still loved watching my show and I had a great time in my bath I was splashing in the water so much.

Full of Giggles

Today I watched Gavin push buttons on the toy to make it spin. I loved it! I was tired in the morning and laid in the pack and play then fell right asleep. I played in the walker, went in the swing and rolled around on the floor. I was smiling all day. Ms. Laura says that I'm so good. I talked a lot today. I was laughing, smiling and talking in the mirror @ me. Mom called when I was rocking in the chair with Ms. Laura.

When I got home from school I was so happy to see Mommy with Aunt Chris. She can really make me laugh. I giggled so hard I got the hiccups. Tonight I had prunes. Mommy and Aunt Chris though the the prunes on my lips made me look like I was goth. I'm not sure what that means yet though. They were smiling so I don't think it's a bad thing. I went shopping with Mommy and aunt Chris. Mostly I just slept though. I did wake up for my bottle and got to have most of it while Mommy had her dinner too with Aunt Chris and Aunt Patti. Before we headed home we stopped to say Hi to Aunt Sharon too. Unfortunately I was getting very tired, so she didn't get to see how happy I really was to see her. I'll get to see them all again on Saturday though and I'll be sure to bring lots of smiles.

Reading

Today I played nicely on the floor. I sat, fell over, and rolled all around the room cooing pleasantly all the while. I had lots of laughs and giggles while in the swing. Mommy would be proud - I "read" a bucket of books this morning.

Tonight I spend most of the night with Daddy so Mommy could run errands. We ate, played and had a great long nap. I slept while Daddy was holding me. It was very nice. He's so comfy.

Doctor's Visit

This morning Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctor's. I was in a happy mood until the medical student and then the doctor stuck something in my ears. Mommy and Daddy were very happy that the doctor said I was ok, just had a little cold and I'm teething, but they decided to keep me home from school anyway. Mommy worked from home today. She is lucky to be able to do that once in a while. I watched some Baby Einstein when we got home and Daddy fed me my carrots for lunch. I got to roll on the floor next to Mommy's computer too and I had a great time spinning the alphabet ball. I took a long afternoon nap. Mommy gave me peaches for diner. I love them. In the evening Daddy took some time to dance with me. We were practicing especially for the wedding. I also sat with Mommy for a while on the couch as we watched some TV.

Teething Hurts

This morning Mommy tried to play a video that wasn't Baby Einstein. It was a Baby Genius video with Nursery Rhymes. She thought it would be good since we read the book of nursery rhymes last night. I watched it, but was only really happy when Mommy sang the songs. I was much happier when she put my Baby Einstein back on. I played the keyboard with mommy and daddy for a little and took a little nap in my chair today, but I woke up after a little while so Daddy came to hold me. I fell asleep in his chest. I just needed to be held. My teeth were really bothering me today and I hurt a little. I was coughing and spitting up a little more than usual. I was still as hungry as ever, so Mommy and Daddy thought it was a result of my teeth trying to come in. I went to some stores with Mommy and Daddy and had another little nap, since I love to sleep in the car. Then we came home and I got to have applesauce. Later in the evening when I was really fussy, Mommy decided to take my temperature. It was 100 so she gave me some medicine. She also noticed that I was putting my fingers in my ears - not just playing with my new earrings. Since the doctor's office was closed Mommy and Daddy decided that we will call in the morning and have the doctor check me out - you know - just to be safe.

Stroller Fun

This morning Mommy took a picture to try to show my earrings. Here it is:

I went out to lunch with Mommy and Daddy. We went to Bertucci's. I tried to hold my bottle with both my hands and feet. Mommy tried to get a quick picture of it, cause mommy and daddy thought it was silly. There was also a very nice waitress who stopped by to talk to me.

Then we went to BJ's to get stuff for Mommy and Daddy's wedding. Daddy was pushing me in the stroller all around and making me laugh. I also took a little nap while we were there. When we got home Mommy gave me peas and my bottle. We also played on the mat for a little while and then we went outside to read a book of nursery rhymes. Afterwards I had my bath and then we watched some Baby Einstein as Mommy was preparing a late dinner.

In and Out

This morning Mommy mixed bananas with my oatmeal and I loved it. I ate them very quickly. Daddy kept me at home for a little while to play with me before school.

Today at school I played with the lighted toys and Paulie was helping me push the buttons. Everyone said how cute my earrings were on me. We read a book then I got sleepy around 11am. I was rolling all over today and reaching to play with toys. I figured out how to get to them. Ms. Chris and Ms. Laura heard me say "Da Da." They thought it was great! I played in the exersaucer for a little bit today. I played with a drum, ball, and fish bowl. I put things in the bowl and took them out. I also love the xylophone at the school. I did so well with eating my carrots at school that my teachers are wondering if I should get more.

I went to the store with Mommy after she picked me up from school. She knew I was sleepy and thought I would take a little nap - she was right. When we got home I ate all my pears and all of the peas that were left-over from yesterday.

Daddy Time

Today I spent the whole day with Daddy. He is going to have to go back to school soon and he wanted to spend time with me. It was so nice to be with him all day. I took a long morning nap, which gave him some time to do some work on the computer. We went to see his school and met a lot of the teachers. I know I met some of them before, but it's nice to see them now that I'm a little older. When we got home I was talking up a storm. Daddy got some of it on video.

Then we went to Mommy's work because they were having a party for her. It was a Bridal Shower. There were some fun games and everyone was laughing. I also got to see Isabel. She is just a little over a year older than me. It was fun to watch her run around and play. Some of Mommy's co-workers wanted to hold me especially, Melissa, Raili, Chris and Tom. They were all so nice to me. When we got home Mommy fed me some pears. I loved them so much that I was sad when they were finished.

The Laughter is Contagious

Today I played in the walker. I also rolled on the floor and played with Paulie. I liked playing the lighted piano toy and pushing the buttons to make music. I made funny noises all day with my hands and mouth. I spun the singing/musical ball around to play music. Karli made me laugh so hard today that I made Miss Laura laugh too. When I got home I also made Mommy laugh when I was laughing at how she was playing with me.

Tonight was a big night. After dinner I had an early bath and went with Mommy to the mall. I, of course, fell asleep in the car ride there. We went there so Mommy and I could get our ears pierced. I woke up when Mommy was getting hers done and I was a little scared because I didn't know where I was. The ear piercing pinched, so I cried. I was ok after the first one, but the second one hurt so much more. We both got the same little flower earrings. I made a new friend Fanta. She came over to talk to me when I was getting my ears pierced. Her sister was getting her ears pierced too and she was only 6 months. She helped calm me down a little. Daddy came just as we finished. He was getting a tattoo on his leg. It was a big day for the whole family. He took me for a little walk around the mall so Mommy could finish up. I calmed down and went to sleep a little while after we got home, but I woke up very fussy at 11:30. Mommy and Daddy gave me a bottle which helped me get back to sleep. (P.S. Mommy said there would be pictures soon. )

Smiley Day

Today at school we counted along with the Cookie Monster toy and I rolled balls back and forth to my friends. I was rolling all over and rocking myself upon my knees a little bit. I laughed and looked in the mirror at myself. I also played in the walker. I was smiley today. When my friends sat next to me I smiled and was excited.

At night Daddy gave me my first taste of Peaches. I loved them! I would have eaten more. I had a good time playing on the quilt with Daddy. I loved the red pillow and was giggling so much. Then I got fussy so Daddy gave me a bottle and I fell asleep in his arms.

Music to My Ears

Today I enjoyed listening to music, pressing buttons to hear the sounds, and was memorized by all the toys with lights. I had fun with Ms. Chris and Ms. Laura. I was so excited to be back at school that I really didn't want to sleep that much. Once Mommy got me into the car I went right to sleep. We went to the store to get more fruits and veggies and I slept the whole time. Mommy told me that a woman in line told her that I was beautiful. It is nice to hear that. When we got home I ate my bananas. They are so yummy. I was still pretty sleepy and got fussy until Mommy laid me down with my blanket.

Celebrating Aunt Sharon's Birthday

Today we went to Grandmom and Granddad Wilson's to celebrate Aunt Sharon's birthday. Her birthday was on the 12th, but this was the time when we could all get together. We all chipped in to get her a special gift, but a couple people gave her other small things. In this picture I am handing her a Starbucks Gift Card.

I also got to spend lots of time with my cousin Noelle.
She gave me lots of hugs and kisses. It made me very happy.

Going Home

Today we had to get everything together and head on home from the shore. I knew something was happening and I was pretty sad when we were leaving. I was also a little sleepy. Mommy took a picture as we were getting closer to home.

When I got home I enjoyed my applesauce again. I also had fun playing for a long time. I am rolling all over the place now. I got so tired after all that playing that I took a long nap. When I woke up I had sweet potatoes, but decided to make a new fashion trend and used my food to color my eyebrows and eyelashes. I even put a little streak in my hair. I am already becoming fashion forward.

Sand.......Yummy

I woke up very early today. Grandma helped feed me my oatmeal and bottle. Mommy decided it was a good time to go take pictures of the sunrise at the beach.

We played a little when she came back as we watched Baby Van Gogh. I had my second bottle and started to close my eyes, so Mommy took me up to sleep, but I decided that I still wanted to play, so Daddy got up to play with me. After a little while it was nap time and Grandma took me up to bed. Mommy was already taking her nap.

We went back to the beach again. It was fun. I went in the water with Mommy and Daddy.

I also sat on the towel with Aunt Mandy and just enjoyed the beach for a while.

I played in the sand too, but today was different. I decided that I wanted to see what it tasted like, so I stuck the sandy hand in my mouth. I really wanted to eat the sand. Mommy decided it was best to take me in the water and rinse me off. However, I wouldn't stop putting my hands in my mouth. I just wanted a taste of that salty and crunchy sand.

Mommy and Daddy tried to give me a bottle at the beach today,
but I decided that I wanted Daddy's water bottle instead.

Then I needed to zone out...

Busy Day

I was so happy when I woke up. I was full of smiles and happy to see Mommy and Daddy. They both wanted to spend time with me and give me lots of hugs and kisses. We played for a little while and then I went on a little trip with Grandma and Mommy. I was a little sleepy, so I fell asleep in the car. Mommy and Grandma told me about the clowns and balloons that I missed, but I woke up in time to see some of the baby parade on the boardwalk. It was a guy named Elvis who woke me up. Actually, it wasn’t Elvis, but he was singing his songs. I was so happy to see all the people and watch what they were doing. It was great! It was pretty warm, so Mommy didn’t want to keep me in the sun that long, so we went to a coffee shop that had an umbrella to give us shade. Daddy rode a bike and came to meet us. It was fun hanging out there.

Afterwards I went to the grocery store with Grandma and Mommy. We later went to the beach. I loved going in the water with Daddy and playing in the sand with Mommy. I was very sleepy, so we didn’t stay long at the beach. Shortly after I woke up Joe and Sue came over for dinner. Joe is Grandpa’s cousin. We had dinner and I was very talkative. I ate all my peas, but Mommy was starting to get worried, because I was pushing away my bottle. My teeth were bothering me so I was very fussy. Mommy gave me a little medicine and then took me outside to help calm me down. I enjoyed watching the cars go by and then got pretty sleepy.

Rolling Around

Grandma was impressed that I slept so well through Grandpa’s snoring. Mommy told Grandma that I might wake up early and need a diaper change. She was right. I woke up at 4:30am and Grandma changed my diaper and I went back to sleep and got up at 6:30am. Mommy woke up shortly after I did, so she made me some oatmeal. Grandma had already started feeding me a bottle, so I wasn’t really hungry. Mommy and I played on the mat for a bit and then I watched Baby Shakespeare. After playing a little more I went down for my morning nap.

Mommy and Aunt Mandy had to take Daddy to the hospital. His headache did not get better and everyone was worried. I stayed at the house and played with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Jill. Aunt Jill loved feeding me peas and playing with me. I spent a lot of time rolling around on the floor and I loved it. Mommy kept calling the house to keep us up-to-date and luckily everything was ok with Daddy- he just had his first (and hopefully only) Migraine- so I went back into the room to sleep with Mommy and Daddy.

More Beach Time

Today the whole family went to the beach together. It was so much fun. Daddy and I played in the water. I even got to go into the water with Grandpa Kulp. It is the first time he could go in the ocean for three years. His leg has finally healed enough to touch the ocean’s salty water. I was so happy. It was great playing with Aunt Jill and Aunt Mandy too. I was also very happy to sit on Grandma’s lap when we got out of the water. I just love that we all got to go to the beach together.

Daddy had a big headache when we got home, so we took a nap together. Unfortunately the nap didn’t help his headache go away. Mommy said I am going to sleep in Grandma and Grandpa’s room tonight, so we can help Daddy get better. As long as I have my blanket I think it will be fine.

Boardwalk

Today I went for a long walk with Mommy and Daddy. It was about 3 miles to the store. I loved watching everything, but fell asleep on the way back. In the evening I went to the boardwalk with Aunt Jill, Aunt Mandy, Mommy and Daddy. Again I fell asleep in the car, so they told me that I missed seeing Pooh, but I did wake up in time to have some fun.

I saw Mr. Peanut and watched the rides with Daddy.

I also rode a shiny red car and played video games with Daddy.
He was pretty good with the Sponge Bob game.

Then I got to steer in the Tigger boat.

We also stopped to watch a guy play saxophone.
Daddy knew the song he was playing and tapped along.

First Time on the Beach

Today was my first day at the beach. There were some thunderstorms passing throughout the day, so when we went to the beach it was really windy. I was very observant at the beach. I just wanted to watch everything that was going on, including the ocean water. Some water splashed in my face, but I didn’t cry. My eyes got a little red, but that was from the salt water. We didn’t get to stay long because another storm was coming through.

Going to the Shore

Today I went to the gym with Mommy. I was so sleepy by the time we left that I fell asleep in the car and slept through her whole workout. Daddy had to get fitted for his tuxedo for the wedding, so we went to Target when Mommy was done. Daddy met us there and we had a bite to eat in the café. Then we went home and finished packing to go to the shore. I am so excited. I also got my first taste of green beans today. They are ok, but I need to get used to them a little more. Carrots are still my favorite. Mommy and Daddy were very happy that I started getting sleepy at dinner. I slept the whole way there. I just woke up and needed a diaper change when Daddy stopped to get some drinks. I was so happy to see the rest of my family when we got to the house. I stayed up to hang out for a little while.

Meeting New People

Today I was happy and playful. I made lots of funny squeaky noises. I was all about my tongue today - sticking it out, twirling it around and blowing raspberries.

I didn't sleep much today at school. I am so excited for our family vacation in Ocean City, NJ. I did take a little nap on the way home, so Mommy decided it was a good time to get a few things that we needed for the vacation. I met a great little girl Andyrea, she was 6 years old and she just loves other babies, she called her mom over to come see me. It was very nice. She wanted to help take care of me. I liked to watch her and smiled at her a lot.

Sliding

Today I spent some time outside in the small play yard! I mostly sat on Stacy's lap, but I did look very stylish in the speed boat! I also went down the baby slide (assisted, of course). I loved it! I showed that with lots of smiles and big arm waves! I also got to eat lunch with Jake and Timmy sitting in the seats at the yellow bucket table. (This is where the 1 year olds normally eat.) I did a great job and was very entertained by the boys.

At night I went with Mommy and Daddy to the store and then I went with Daddy to visit with Steve and Kevin. Mommy had to get alterations for her wedding dress. I loved watching Steve's dog run around and giggled when she licked my feet. I cried a little when she growled - Daddy was making howling noises and she howled back. It scared me a little. Then Daddy needed to move some musical equipment and I was hanging on the floor for a little, but I was fussy, so Kevin picked me up and I feel asleep in his arms.

Clever today

I got along very nicely with Paul today. He made me laugh by being very silly with the soft rattles. I showed my cleverness by making the roll-arounds go down the slide and in the hole of the schoolhouse - then I opened the door to let them out.

At night I went out to dinner with Mommy and Daddy. Then we went to go meet with the Minister who is going to perform their wedding ceremony. I liked to look up at him and I only tried once to pull his goatee, Mommy was pretty surprised because I pull her hair so much.

Talkative and Assertive

This morning was the first time I actually ate my oatmeal. Mommy has been trying to give it to me for days. I won't say it's my favorite, but I can tolerate it. I think I'll like it much better when I can get some fruit in it. Mommy says I have to try all the vegetables first, because that's what my doctor recommended.

Today at school I was talkative and assertive - someone took away the toy I was playing with and I yelled and reached until he gave it back. My nose was a bit stuffy today, but I was very happy and interactive. I had a great day!

Monday, August 4, 2008

Sharing My Voice

Today I was very vocal. I'm trying out lots of new sounds - lots of "aahs" "daahs" "naahs" and "baahs." I loved playing with the animal ark piano and the ball popper. I laughed watching the balls pop all around. I had a fit of laughter when Gavin and Ms. Stacy were throwing soft balls up in the air.

When I got home I was so happy to see Grandpa. He was at our house visiting Daddy. I had so many smiles for him. After eating my sweet potatoes I was happy to watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune with Mommy. I like to watch the screens change in Jeopardy and it is fun when everyone claps on the Wheel of Fortune. The spinning wheel is cool too. I also spent a lot of time rolling around on my quilt. I got tired so I feel asleep in my chair. I woke up a little cranky so after my bath and bottle I was happy to go right back to sleep.

Photo Day

Mommy and Daddy took lots of pictures today so here's the photo essay of my day. I awoke in the early morning hours and Mommy read me some books.

When Mommy got home from the gym she saw that I was outside with Daddy.

We were looking at the new fishes that Frank and Mary Jane put in their pond.

This is our little landing. Mommy just loves to take our picture against the blue sky.

After a late lunch we went to the park in Springfield that's near the library.
We met this little terrier - Luigi.

I got to touch the sand with my feet and hands.
Mommy and Daddy said it was to prepare for going down the shore next week.

Daddy was helping me climb the jungle gym.

Mommy asked us to play store.

Then Daddy took me down the slide.

Mommy wanted to play too, so she took me on the swing.

Mommy and Daddy watched very closely as I sat in the baby swing.
I loved to seem independent, even if it was only for a moment.

This swing was fun. I can't wait to go back to the park again.

Mommy, Daddy and I could all go on the see-saw at the same time.

Daddy took me town the slide again.

And I even got to try to go down myself for just the tail end of the slide.

What a great day! I was so tired after playing so I slept for a long time when we got home.
