Playful

We played all day today! It was so much fun. We practiced our colors and learning where our eyes, ears, and noses are located. We read books and I listened well. I played a lot with the Elmo table and sat in the tunnel too. What a great Friday!

Puzzles

Today I played played with lots of toys by myself for a while. Then I decided that it was time to include my friends. I put together the foam puzzles with Karli and Gavin. I also had a blast playing in the tunnel. We tore apart tissue paper to make shamrocks, but I was more interested in trying to eat the tissue paper than gluing it to the paper.

Up

Today I just didn't want Mommy to leave the school. I got very upset even though my friends all came over to see me. Paul and Gavin brought toys over and wanted to play with me. Karli also came over and offered support. Ms. Christine eventually picked me up and connected me with my friends, so Mommy could go catch her train. Today I painted with the inka dot and drew with markers. Ms Laura is happy with my progress. We also blew bubbles which was fun. We read books, played with puzzles and learned the colors with cards. I was a very good girl at school today.

At night I got to spend some time with Mommy. She is trying to encourage me to use my words, so today I decided to say "Up" and raise my arms, so Mommy knew what I meant. I was so happy that she understood me. I also moved them down and I am really working hard to try to say "down."

Don't Knock My Building Down!

Today we were building towers with the legos. I got a little mad when the boys knocked it down. I got cozy with Ms. Becky as we read books. When we sang "If you're happy and you know it" I clapped along with everyone. I also played with puzzles and played my favorite piano.

Painting with Dots

Today I helped clean and played blocks. I learned how to paint using dots and I really liked it. I am doing pretty good at the puzzles now. I seem to know where all the pieces go - even if they go in a little crooked. I had such a great day today!

Tunnel Love!

Today I helped clean up the blocks. I learned how to make dot art during our "Opposites" lesson and I really liked it. I also played with the puzzles. I know where the pieces go, but I still make them a little crooked. I really had a great day today! I love the tunnel!

Grandma & Grandpa's

Today we went to visit Grandma & Grandpa, Aunt Mandy and Aunt Jill.

I had such a good time. I was taking some steps and cruising.

I got to ride on Daddy's old rocking horse that his Grandpa and Dad made for him.

I loved to watch Daddy play the singing bowl. It made some awesome sounds.

Grandma gave me baskets to stack and I liked them.
I also had fun reading and cuddling with Grandma.

When I got tired I wanted to snuggle with Grandma's hat and scarf.

I had fun dancing with Grandpa and playing with Aunt Jill and Aunt Mandy today too.

Reading Cards

Today I was so excited to read my Valentine's cards. I love the smiling flowers on the front of the card that aunt Chris gave me. I spent so much time looking at it today that Mommy was able to take a picture. I also enjoyed looking at the card that I got from Grandmom and Grandad. You can see it on the table to my left.

Clean Up!

Today we glued pictures. I played in the tunnel or should I say sat in the tunnel and everyone had to go around. I love to see the others look in and find me. I also played the drum. I was very pleasant today! I'm learning to help clean up too.

Walking

I made music with the piano and played with the "Elmo's World" playset. I had a blast playing with the parachute and helped Gavin and Karli build towers with the legos. I took four steps to Ms. Stacy today (She was so excited that she sent Mommy a message on Facebook.) and I was walking all around the baby room taking steps here and there in the afternoon for Ms. Laura. She is so proud of me. I also colored some fishes and glued them in their fishbowl. Mommy took a picture of my project. (The seahorse likes to think outside of the bowl. Ha ha.)

Toys are like new with fresh Batteries

Today I ruled the tunnel. It was my say as to whether someone could pass. We built towers with blocks and I helped clean them up too. We blew bubbles and had fun with puzzles. I loved playing with the table top toys, because they had all new batteries in them today. Yeah! I also was caught giving a kiss to my friend Gavin J. when he said Hi to me. Ms. Laura thought it was so cute.

Clingy

Today I was not my usual happy self. I was very clingy and upset today. I needed a lot of extra hugs. I felt a little better playing in the baby room. The piano was fun. Ms. Stacy tried to help ease my teething and I needed an extra nap today to feel better.

Working Like Mommy

Today I played with the computer and the telephone a lot. I am pretending to be like Mommy at work. I made a Valentine today and I loved tearing up the tissue paper to decorate the edges. I also played in the tunnel and helped clean-up a little today. Ms. Becky was very proud.

Coloring

Today we sang songs and read books at school. I really loved "If you're happy and you know it." I clapped along to it. We also did some coloring today. Ms. Becky helped me because I am not good at holding the crayon yet. I'll get there. I really loved crawling through the tunnel today. At night I played with my toys and I ate chicken nuggets with Mommy. She even let me try some barbecue sauce. I liked it. Mommy sang some songs to me tonight and I really loved when she did the itsy bitsy spider. I laughed so hard when she tried to get my thumbs to touch so I could do it too.

Valentine's Party

Today I helped make a heart project with paint. We are doing a lot of crafts for Valentines Day. I did a great job putting the puzzle pieces where they go today. I enjoyed dancing to our nursery rhyme CD. We had our Valentines party and I had regular applesauce (not the baby stuff) and I did a good job with it. I played the drum with Karli for a while in the afternoon. Everyone loved my heart sweatsuit. I am so glad that it fit me in time for Valentines. My teeth were bothering me today and I made it through without any bottles today. I drank my whole milk from sippy cups.

Loving the Drums

I played with musical instruments today. I especially loved the drums. I guess I am taking after Daddy there. I went for a long walk in the stroller with the rest of the pre-toddlers, babies, Ms. Stacy and Ms. Becky. I loved watching the cars and the scenery and I stayed awake for the entire walk. I read books in the afternoon and played with Ms. Laura. At night I played blocks with Daddy and we read stories. I also spent time playing with many of my new toys, such as the piggy bank from Uncle Greg. Mommy was impressed that I can now get the coins into the slot all but myself and I can open and close the door. I was doing well pressing the nose to make sounds before, but it took me some time to get the rest of it. I also love the piano from Mary Jane and Frank.

Doctor Visit for my 1 year appt.

Today I slept in a little and hung out with Mommy until mid morning. At school I played with the computer table a lot. It is really one of my favorite toys in the new room. I also sat and played with puzzles and I played in the tunnel. At night I went to the doctor's with Mommy. I am now 30 1/2 inches tall and 22.89 lbs. I screamed when I saw the needles and when I got my shots and I kept spitting out my binky, but after Mommy got me dressed and gave me some extra hugs I did much better. Mommy wasn't feeling good today, so I hung out with Daddy after my appointment, so she could get some extra rest.

Celebrating Grandpa's Birthday

Today we went to Gail's house to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. She really knows how to throw a nice dinner party. I had a great time. Mommy and Daddy were glad that I was feeling better. I especially liked roaming around and playing the hand game that Grandma made up. I love how she makes that clicking noise when I get all five fingers down. I'm trying, but I haven't quite been able to make the noise regularly yet. Here are some pictures from the party.

Arts and Crafts

I enjoyed playing with the computer and puzzles today. I also played in the tunnel with my friends. It took me a little while to get used to the tunnel, but I enjoy it now. I like the arts and crafts too. Today we made a heart picture with paint and a cookie cutter. The class read a few books, but I wanted to do other things. I guess I needed a break from all the reading I did yesterday. My cold also picked up and I needed some time to myself. I especially got annoyed today when anyone tried to wipe my runny nose. In the afternoon my belly was upset and I needed to get picked up from school. Daddy also had a rough day with his back. We are lucky that we have Mommy to take care of us.

Learning

Today I played with the xylophone. I'm good at it too! We built towers out of blocks and then knocked them down. I was really sleepy this morning and a little cranky, but much better after my nap. We also glued and painted this afternoon. I'm learning how to do all the projects and I'm a fast learner.

Towers

Today I enjoyed the cold teether on my gums. I read books with Ms. Becky and even read some by myself. I also painted and glued a heart fish that Ms. Becky helped cut out. We build towers out of giant legos at school and knocked them down and I played with the tunnel. It was a fun day.

Moving On Up

Today was my first full day in the pre toddler room (aka 1 year old room) and I did great! I got a diploma for completing the infant program. Yeah! I glued little hearts onto papers and I picked it up quickly. I had my shoes and hands traced. I was a big helper too. I helped put the blocks in the buckets with all the kids. I was right on schedule with the rest of the 1 year-olds. I am happy to be moving up with Ms. Becky and I'm happy that I still get some time with Ms. Laura. Ms. Stacy will always have a special place in my heart since she was my first teacher, well, aside from my parents.
