Adventure

Today I went into the exersaucer for the first time! At first I didn't stretch out my legs to touch the bottom, but after a minute or two I did ! I was happy to get a new view of things and spent some time looking all around! I had a happy day.

At night I went downtown with Daddy. We met Mommy at her work and then Mommy and I went to First Friday in Old City. It was my first subway ride. A gentleman was nice to let me and mommy have a seat. I was pretty sleepy by the time we got there. I saw about three pieces at the Art Jazz gallery and then I feel asleep. Mommy had me in the Snugglefit and so I was pretty warm.

Then we went to Starbucks to cool off and met some nice people who were artists. One was a photographer, so Mommy spent a lot of time talking to her. Then we met Daddy, Colin and Becky at Su Xing House. Nancy the hostess asked to hold me and I liked looking at the security camera and the computer cash register. I played with fortune cookies too. I wish I could eat them. I also got to go into the kitchen and the staff sang a song to me. It was fun, but I got really tired and so I was a bit fussy. Once I got in the carriage I fell right asleep.

Freedom

Today was a big day. Mommy took me to the doctor's this morning. I had an ultrasound of my hips and my brace was off for it. I just wanted to move my legs all around, so it made it more difficult for the technicians. Mommy calmed me down by singing to me. Then we went to see the doctor and he gave us great news! Mommy could take my brace off! She was so excited that she asked the doctors if she could throw it out right away. She was so happy that I was free. I was happy too. I realized that something was different quickly when I hit the rattle against my leg and it felt different. I also had a fun time touching my toes. I almost immediately wanted to roll to my side when lying down. I had already started to do this with the brace, but now it is easier. I was sleepy after the appointment, so Mommy decided to run some errands and we visited Aunt Patti.

A little while after lunch we went to Grandmom and Grandad's house. Mommy had a dentist appointment, so I hung out there and spent some time with Aunt Becky and Uncle Bob. Aunt Becky had me giggling so much by blowing kisses. Uncle Bob got to hold me today too. I think this was the first time. (There is a picture below.)

Then we went for ice cream met Daddy and Tamme. I am looking forward to eating solid foods.

Once I got in my crib I wanted to stay up and play with my feet some more. I also started reaching for the edge of the crib and stuck my hand through one of the bars.

Scratch

Today I was very pleasant, despite getting my first daycare injury. Actually I didn't even cry when I got scratched. I am beginning to show Ms. Stacy my toy likes and dislikes; I pull them off the toy bar and play with the ones I like - the ones I don't care for I toss on the floor. (I've actually got quite the good throwing arm!)

Verbal

Today I was very active on the play mat again. I was also very verbal and loved it when Gavin pulled himself over and talked back to me. I really enjoyed shaking rattles today!

Peek a Boo

I was exhausted this morning! I woke up happy as could be and laughed and played with hanging toys. I giggled & Squealed when Ms. Stacy played peek a boo and tickled me. I moved all around the ladybug mat rocking back and forth as far as I could go. I also spun the alphabet ball.

Tonight I hung out with Mommy. We went to the store and then played for a good while on the Einstein mat. I smile every time the star is turned on and lights up with the music. When mommy and I where sitting in our chairs I decided to tell her the story of my day. I had some giggles in there too. Mommy saw me playing with my hair today. My cousin Noelle does that too.
