Animal Noises

Today I had an awesome time in the exersaucer; I was entertained by the busy boxes for quite a while. I also enjoyed a long circle time w/my friends - I sat in the Bumbo - we sang lots of songs and learned many animal noises.

Off to Grandma & Grandpa's House

I had a very sleepy 1/2 day at school. I did manage to squeeze in about an hour of playtime between eating and sleeping. I played peek-a-boo while I was in the exersaucer and he was in his pack-n-play. Daddy picked me up from school early today.

This afternoon Grandma and Grandpa came to pick me up from the house. I was going to spend the weekend there because Mommy had to go to California for work and Grandma has been asking if I could come for a visit. A lot of librarians were supposed to be in California for a meeting, which is why Mommy has to go. Mommy is going to go to Disneyland tomorrow. I hope she brings me back something cool. I am having a great time with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Jill and Aunt Mandy.

Waving

Today I am back to my normal cheerful self! I sung a lot today and had lots of smiles and "aahs" for my friends. I enjoyed my floor exercises as well as my tummy time. I waved to Ms. Chris and then "showed her the hand" when she tried to take me from Ms. Stacy!

Chewing Lips

Today I kept all my food down, just seemed a little tired and fussy. I'm chewing on my lips a lot and sucking my fingers like crazy. I did a great job sitting up today (in between Ms. Stacy's legs) during our circle time. I also clapped and played patty-cake (with help).

Tired

Today I am feeling a little bit under the weather. I spit up some and seemed a little more tired than usual. I had a fun time singing in the blue bouncy seat and laughing when I kicked the toys. I also enjoyed taking it easy in the swing.

Thumb Sucking

Today I was happy and playful. I enjoyed hanging out in the bouncy seat while my friends crowded around me and tickled my toes. I was more interested in sucking my thumb than my binky today.

Eating My Toes/ Cool Daddy

Mommy caught me trying to eat my toes today while I was playing on the quilt.

Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Many and Aunt Jill came over to play with me today, while Mommy and Daddy went to a concert. Daddy was playing the drums for Mischief Brew.

New Cousin

I was playing at home when we got the news. The my Aunt Bev had a baby boy. I have a new cousin. His name is Raymond Douglas. Mommy went to see him at the hospital, but I couldn't go because I am too little. She took a picture of him for me though. I'll get to meet him soon.

I get by with a little help from my friends...

Today I really wanted to be involved in the boys playtimes. So I sat on the floor with the boppy pillow - I was so happy and excited that I plopped right over! But then I was able to sit and play with some support from my blocks - Yay! I was thrilled when I stood at the playskool table with Gavin (& some help from Ms. Stacy)

Working the Muscles

Today I had a fit of giggles while Ms. Stacy was changing my diaper. I hung out with the older babies on the floor for a while. They were very nice to me & Gavin especially made me laugh by making funny noises. I had a lot of good tummy time today, I was really working those upper body muscles.

Opposites

Today I enjoyed lots of quality tone on one time with Ms. Stacy while everyone else slept. We played lots of clapping games, sung many songs and did lots of "work" with opposites. I opened and closed things, went up and down and back and forth.

Conversation

Today I had nothing but smiles for my new friend, Grant. Gavin and I had a very loud and animated conversation while I was in the exersaucer. I loved laying on the floor and doing baby exercises. I giggles and belly laughed the whole time!

Awake

Today I was wide awake and raring to go! I had a great time playing in the exersaucer, in the bumbo (singing songs & doing finger activities) and on the floor (for tummy time and tickle time) I was in a great mood with lots of laughs and giggles.

Rice Cereal

Today Daddy tried to give me some rice cereal. I tasted it but it was weird. I didn't like it. I just wanted my formula, so I cried until I got it. Maybe I'm just not ready to eat rice cereal yet? Mommy and Daddy said that they would keep trying, so hopefully I will grow to like it.

Wheels on the Bus

Today I was very ticklish! I also had fun during circle time. My favorite song today was "Wheels on the bus!"I liked playing with a noisy toy phone today and also had fun spinning the alphabet ball.

To the Races

Today I was so entertained by Gavin & Paul's crawling races. I was a great cheerleader sitting on Ms. Stacy's lap and rooting on my friends. We are gearing up for the Olympics already!

I also had some tummy time when I got home. This quilt was made my mommy's friend Diann. I just love it.

Happy

Today I was happy and playful. The older babies had a growling contest, which I thought was funny. I am really enjoying that exersaucer, especially when my friends crawl over and pull themselves up to play peek a boo with me.

Sweet Songstress

Today I tried more baby apparatuses. I sat in the pink Bumbo seat and played with the peek a boo park, which I really liked. I got so excited when I turned the purple wheel with my foot and it played music. I was singing quite loudly on the ladybug mat. I was a sweet songstress today.

Adventure

Today I went into the exersaucer for the first time! At first I didn't stretch out my legs to touch the bottom, but after a minute or two I did ! I was happy to get a new view of things and spent some time looking all around! I had a happy day.

At night I went downtown with Daddy. We met Mommy at her work and then Mommy and I went to First Friday in Old City. It was my first subway ride. A gentleman was nice to let me and mommy have a seat. I was pretty sleepy by the time we got there. I saw about three pieces at the Art Jazz gallery and then I feel asleep. Mommy had me in the Snugglefit and so I was pretty warm.

Then we went to Starbucks to cool off and met some nice people who were artists. One was a photographer, so Mommy spent a lot of time talking to her. Then we met Daddy, Colin and Becky at Su Xing House. Nancy the hostess asked to hold me and I liked looking at the security camera and the computer cash register. I played with fortune cookies too. I wish I could eat them. I also got to go into the kitchen and the staff sang a song to me. It was fun, but I got really tired and so I was a bit fussy. Once I got in the carriage I fell right asleep.

Freedom

Today was a big day. Mommy took me to the doctor's this morning. I had an ultrasound of my hips and my brace was off for it. I just wanted to move my legs all around, so it made it more difficult for the technicians. Mommy calmed me down by singing to me. Then we went to see the doctor and he gave us great news! Mommy could take my brace off! She was so excited that she asked the doctors if she could throw it out right away. She was so happy that I was free. I was happy too. I realized that something was different quickly when I hit the rattle against my leg and it felt different. I also had a fun time touching my toes. I almost immediately wanted to roll to my side when lying down. I had already started to do this with the brace, but now it is easier. I was sleepy after the appointment, so Mommy decided to run some errands and we visited Aunt Patti.

A little while after lunch we went to Grandmom and Grandad's house. Mommy had a dentist appointment, so I hung out there and spent some time with Aunt Becky and Uncle Bob. Aunt Becky had me giggling so much by blowing kisses. Uncle Bob got to hold me today too. I think this was the first time. (There is a picture below.)

Then we went for ice cream met Daddy and Tamme. I am looking forward to eating solid foods.

Once I got in my crib I wanted to stay up and play with my feet some more. I also started reaching for the edge of the crib and stuck my hand through one of the bars.

Scratch

Today I was very pleasant, despite getting my first daycare injury. Actually I didn't even cry when I got scratched. I am beginning to show Ms. Stacy my toy likes and dislikes; I pull them off the toy bar and play with the ones I like - the ones I don't care for I toss on the floor. (I've actually got quite the good throwing arm!)

Verbal

Today I was very active on the play mat again. I was also very verbal and loved it when Gavin pulled himself over and talked back to me. I really enjoyed shaking rattles today!

Peek a Boo

I was exhausted this morning! I woke up happy as could be and laughed and played with hanging toys. I giggled & Squealed when Ms. Stacy played peek a boo and tickled me. I moved all around the ladybug mat rocking back and forth as far as I could go. I also spun the alphabet ball.

Tonight I hung out with Mommy. We went to the store and then played for a good while on the Einstein mat. I smile every time the star is turned on and lights up with the music. When mommy and I where sitting in our chairs I decided to tell her the story of my day. I had some giggles in there too. Mommy saw me playing with my hair today. My cousin Noelle does that too.
