Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I had a great time being Princess Leia today. We had a parade at school in the morning. Mommy came and took some pictures. When I first saw Ms. Laura with her witch hat I was scared and I cried. She took it off and put it on a few times and then I realized it was her and was ok with her hat. In the picture below Ms. Laura brought me out to go into the wagon to start the parade.

Here I am with my newest friends as we all get ready to go.

I was the leader of the whole parade.
Here I am just taking it all in.
After my nap at school Mommy came to get me and took me to Daddy's school to see their parade. I loved hearing the drums. Daddy came over during the parade and gave me a kiss. That made me smile. I loved to see all the kids in their costumes. It was so much fun.

In the evening we went to Ardmore and spent some time with Aunt Sharon. We had dinner there and then went to see Aunt Patti. Aunt Chris was working late so we stopped by to see her right before we left to go home. I was pretty sleepy.

Here I am with Aunt Sharon and Aunt Patti.
Aunt Patti was sporting her Phillies T-Shirt because she went down to the parade.

Congrats Phillies!!!!

When I woke up Mommy told me that the Phillies had won the World Series! I had fallen asleep on her lap while we were watching the game. She couldn't believe that I stayed a sleep through all the fireworks and yelling and noise making. I was just so sleepy last night. She told me that I was such a good girl for sleeping through the noises.

Today at school, I was a great cowgirl - I absolutely loved crazy horsey rides on Ms. Stacy's lap. I also enjoyed the Fisher Price "Happy Notes" piano that is in the 1 year old room. I ate my lunch in two sittings and had a bit of bottle with it to calm me down. I made good use of my cold teether today.

Standing Solo...2-3 seconds

Today I really shook it up at the Leap Frog table. My favorite song it plays seems to be "Frera Jacques." I pulled myself up to stand at the toy box and I let go. I stayed up 2-3 seconds and then fell on my bottom. I was incredibly happy & vocal jumping in the exersaucer.

Daddy let me crawl all around the living room when I got home. It was so much fun. When Mommy got home I started crying for her immediate attention. After saying hello to Daddy she came over and gave me a big hug and a kiss and I was happy. I was so hungry for dinner. I ate peas and peaches, had a couple bites of toast and some of a whole banana that Mommy gave me in mesh container. It was a little weird, but I think I can get used to it. I also had to wash all that down with a bottle. I also had fun watching Baby Einstein with Mommy in the evening.

Ms. Laura made a little picture to show that I am cheering on the Phillies tonight. I bet they'll win the World Series! P.S. Mommy had a hard time with her scanner trying to get this picture, so that's why it looks funky.

Animated Phone Calls

Today I wiped my own face with my bib after lunch. I had so much quality one on one time since it is just Lyra and me on Tuesday. I sang & danced, played lots of musical instruments, stacked blocks and made many animated phone calls.

When Mommy came to pick me up I yelled at her. I was the last child in the school since her train was late. She had called school, but my teachers don't let me talk on the big phone yet. My teachers thought it was funny that I got so angry at mom. I got over it quickly though. She gave me tons of kisses and when we got home after eating dinner she made me laugh so hard by making funny noises and moving close and far away from me that I got the hiccups. We played a lot tonight before my bath so I got very sleepy quickly.

Walking Along the Gate

Today I was so happy that Gavin was in the room to play with me. We had so much fun making funny noises back and forth to each other. I also had fun walking back and forth along the gate, playing with the busy boxes. I enjoyed playing Peek-A-Boo with Andrew while he was in the blue seat - he liked it too.

Mommy had to work late tonight, so I was spending time with Daddy. We had fun playing and then had to run some errands. I was trying so hard to wiggle out of the seat in the grocery cart. Some peole in line with Daddy commented on how funny it was to see me. Mommy got home before we got back from the laundry. I was so excited to see her that I didn't want to go to bed and I stayed up until 10:00pm so we could all spend time together. I would rather have watched Baby Einstein, but Mommy and Daddy like to watch Heros. I guess it's ok since they don't watch much other TV, well except movies.

Great New Things

Today I woke up early, ate my breakfast and played with Mommy. Mommy saw me do some great new things. I was standing holding on to the dresser and I let go and stayed standing for a few seconds and then held back on to the dresser. When I tried the second time I sat down instead of holding on again. The other thing that Mommy saw me do was hold on and move my feet to get to a toy that I wanted. Mommy went to the gym and I watched videos and played with Daddy for a little while. He tried to feed me lunch before my nap, but I was too tired. Mommy gave me some when I got up from my nap and I said "All Done, Mama" when I didn't want to eat anymore. After lunch we went to the mall. and had a visit with Lisa. She took this picture of me and Mommy.

At night I went with Mommy and Daddy to Erik and Denise's house. I loved to watch the doggies run around. They made me laugh. I would have liked to play with them longer, but I got sleepy pretty quickly.

At Home

Today I stayed home from school. Mommy and Daddy were worried that I wasn't feeling good. There has been a sickness going around the daycare and I had some of the symptoms. Since Mommy had a presentation in the morning, Daddy stayed home and then Mommy came home before lunch so Daddy could go to work. In the morning I was up early and talking so much. I hadn't watched my videos in the morning all week and today I got to and was excited. I tried to get into trouble when Daddy was home... I went after his musical equipment. I went for my nap just before Mommy got home. When I woke up we ate lunch and then played with the drum and went over opposites. I turned a toy on and off and I opened and closed a book many times. I did a lot of playing today. Mommy was very happy that I was very hungry for my peas and peaches this evening.

Holding Hands

Today I had so much fun with the Leap Frog Table. I stood and played there, laughing at Andrew who was in the exersaucer. Then I moved on to the busy boxes. I'm so happy to be able to get to where I want to go now. Later in the day when Andrew was in the bumbo seat I went over to him and held his hand. I was very vocal today and I was so happy that I clapped when Gavin came in to play with me.

At night I went with Mommy to see Melissa at Starbucks. It was nice to see her. I gave her some nice smiles. I liked going in the car with Mommy. I was talking just about the whole time there. I was happy that Mommy brought a cookie and a bottle for me. I got a little fussy when I was tired, so Mommy knew it was time to head home.

Anatomy Song

Today I did some walking by holding Ms. Stacy's fingers. I also had a great time singing during our Circle time, lots of clapping and thigh slapping fun! I really enjoyed "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes." I was very intent on learning/listening to numbers on the Sesame Street phone. My teething bothered me a little today to, so Ms. Stacy gave me some Orajel.

Teething

Today I played for a little bit and got sleepy. I was also a little cranky because I was teething. Ms. Laura gave me some Orajel to make me feel better. She also gave me a teether, which made me happy. I crawled on my knees. I saw that I could crawl out to my friends so I did and I played with them for a little bit. I was happy and playful when my teeth weren't hurting.

Happy Birthday Aunt Bev!

Cookie!

Today I had a great time crawling all around and pulling myself up on everything I could. I did lots of talking to my friends and myself in the mirror. I was highly entertained during circle time, because we mostle sang Old MacDonald, which is by far my favorite. (Well, maybe next to the Wheels on the Bus.) Just before Mommy came I got very fussy. My teeth were hurting very badly and I wasn't my usual self. I didn't want to give away smiles. Mommy tried to give me a new dinner tonight - Macaroni and cheese. It was quite a surprise that I didn't really care for it. I wanted something to chew on. Mommy gave me an arrowroot cookie and I loved it. She thought it was interesting that I used my left hand to feed myself. I was pretty messy afterwards so Mommy gave me a bath. We also watched some Baby Einstein before bed.

Here's a little video of my first cookie.

My Own Room

Today I went to Aunt Chris's house, so Mommy and Daddy could rearrange the furniture and give me my own room. I had a great time with Aunt Chris. She can really make me laugh. Aunt Patti came over too to help and then we took a walk to Trader Joe's. I loved checking out Ardmore and looking around at the cars going by, the people and the buildings. I enjoy the change of scenery. It was fun spending time with my aunts. Aunt Chris took some pictures and video. You can see them here.

When I got home I was a little sleepy, but curious to see that everything was changed. It was so cool to see my toys in my room when we got home, but there were so many things in the living room. I had a fun time playing with the drum and Mommy before bath and bedtime.

Speedy

Today I had a great time playing the drums and the xylophone. I was very expressive with my hands today, holding both up and slowly bringing them down, wiggling my fingers. I'm getting quite speedy with my crawling. now I'm trying to make it through the open gate.

At night I went to the mall with Mommy. We had a good time. I was excited to be sitting up in the stroller. I gave some very nice smiles to Mommy to show her how happy I was. Then I got some very nice smiles from some ladies we met. I also blew so many raspberries while we were walking around that some people commented to Mommy. They thought it was silly.

DJ Harmony

Today I entertained my friend Andrew with lots of funny noises. I played games with stacking cups, making towers, bowling variations of the shell game and ball/cup tossing game. I pulled myself up to stand at the busy boxes for the first time today.

In the evening I mostly hung out with Mommy because Daddy went to Kung Fu class. We played a little and then ate dinner. I got to eat first then Mommy. When she was making her dinner I was playing with my toys in the pack and play. While she was eating I decided that I wanted to be a DJ. I was making all kinds of noises with the pack and play fabric. When she was done eating Mommy took a video. Then I took a bath and had some relaxing time before bed.

Here's my DJ Harmony video:

Scary Monkey

Today I kept pulling off my socks. After the third time Ms. Stacy said my piggies can be free. I loved that - the five little piggy game is so funny. My feet are quite ticklish. I was full of energy this morning and had lots of great playtime. I clapped for Andrew when he sat unsupported.

Tonight I was very sleepy. I had only taken a one hour nap at school, so I was getting cranky. Daddy was playing with me because Mommy stayed late at work. When she got home, after I fell asleep on her chest, she decided to set-up the new modem and wireless internet, so Daddy was on full duty. She wanted to make sure that it worked before they moved the furniture around this weekend. I was playing with a monkey toy and Daddy showed me how it moved and made noises. It scared me so much that I cried and cried. I was also a little sleepy and it was loud, so maybe it was the noise that bothered me? Regardless, I was very upset.

Today's Favorites

Today I enjoyed crawling all about - I played with every toy I could get my hands on. My favorites were the roly poly people alphabet ball and anything with buttons - I like to make them go up and down. I also enjoyed singing songs, playing peek-a-boo, and reading stories with Ms. Chris. It was a good day. I did an art project for Mommy and Daddy with Ms. Laura in the afternoon.

At night I played with Mommy and Daddy and then we were going to go to the bank, but Mary Jane came over and said I could come play with her while Mommy and Daddy ran the errands. I had a fun time with Mary Jane, Frank, Tiffany and Joe. They can really make me laugh. Mary Jane gave me a bath and then I got pretty tired, so she took me back up to our apt. and I just about finished my bottle as Mommy and Daddy came home.

Animated

Today I was animated and talkative. I had a lot to say to Andrew and the musical instruments hanging from the toy bar of the vibrating infant seat. I jibber-jabbered and waved my arms very emphatically.

When Mommy came home and saw me chewing a lot, she decided it was time to give me some toast to chew on. I had a good time biting it, but wanted to eat the whole thing without swallowing, so Mommy kept taking it away so I would slow down. I got through about half of it before I was on to something new. Daddy took some pictures.

Harmony, the artist?

Today I slept in late. I got up at 8:00am. Mommy and Daddy were so happy. I was happy to still be at Chris and Ariel's so I could see the dogs and cats.

We all went out to IHOP for breakfast. The food looked so yummy, I can't wait until I can eat from there. I was getting pretty sleepy by the time brunch was over. We went back to the house and packed up some things before heading home. One the way, we stopped at the store Mystickal Voyage where Chris and Ariel work. I met Dr. Gwen. She told Ariel to tell Mommy and Daddy that I needed to get experience with the arts. She thinks I am going to be an artist. Of course, this makes Mommy and Daddy happy.

Crawling & Laughing

Today we spent the day at Chris & Ariel's house. I loved crawling around and watching the animals, especially the doggies. They made me laugh so much. Mommy took some video to show you.
Crawling

Doggie Kisses

Ariel also did my naming ceremony. It is a Shamanic Blessing. It was very nice. I was watching her closely the whole time. She gave me a framed document that covered what was said at the ceremony. Mommy and Daddy were so excited to see this. It is very special. I got all dressed up for the ceremony. Here are some pictures after it was over.

Crawling

Today I am getting all around the room both crawling and scooting on my bottom. I enjoyed singing and playing clapping games. I was so happy when Gavin and Paul came into the baby room after lunch to play with me.

Daddy picked me up from school and then Mommy and Daddy spent time packing. They took turns watching me as I played on the floor. I was getting a little sleepy, and so I fell forward onto my binky and got a little cut under my nose. Mommy and Daddy were concerned and got the Pooh ice pack for me and they gave me lots of extra hugs and kisses so I would feel better. We went for a long car ride to Maryland to see Chris and Ariel. They have two dogs and three cats. I woke up once we got there and had a little laugh for the animals before I went to bed.

Moving All Around

Today I was pretty tired and little fussy in the morning. I fell asleep as soon as Ms. Laura came. I played with my favorite toys and scooted myself all around. Ms. Laura had me teach baby Andrew things by watching what I do. I was pushing myself all over the room today. I had a great day.

When Mommy came to pick me up Grant, John and Andrew were in the room with me and Ms. Laura.

Here is a picture of me and Grant.
He is a few months older than me,
but I think I'm a little bigger than he is.

And here is a picture of me, Grant and John.
Remember the mountain that I climbed recently?
Well, John is sitting on top of it.
At night I went with Mommy to Aunt Chris's house. Mommy was helping her hang a few things in her living room. Aunt Chris made me laugh so much. Then we went to John Henry's so Mommy and Aunt Chris could get something to eat for dinner. I was getting pretty sleepy, so we didn't stay long.

Laughing All Day

Today I enjoyed being the oldest baby in the infant room in the morning. I did a lot of talking and laughing. Ms. Stacy told Mommy that I would be a good older sister if Mommy and Daddy ever decide to have another baby. Mommy said that we need a house before another baby comes along. I liked meeting Lyra and her parents. Her Daddy made me laugh. I did some crawling today. I absolutely love our animal songs - Ms. Stacy is the funniest dog - I laugh and laugh when she barks at me.

Standing By Myself

Today I pulled myself up to stand at the leap frog table. I was so excited when I did it that I fell backwards in delight! Then I was more careful next time. I was very happy and playful today and also a little flirtatious. I leaned in and gave Grant a kiss on the cheek when he was playing next to me.

At night I played with Mommy for a while but got very tired and took a long nap. Mommy woke me up to eat and to play for a little before it was actually bedtime. We watched a little bit of the debate. Mommy was surprised that I was a little interested in it. Well, until Daddy came home. Then I wanted to see what he was doing and I was getting pretty sleepy.

Scooting

Today I scooted on my bottom to get from Point A to Point B. I loved the animal ark piano and the xylophone today. I also enjoyed laughing at Gavin while he was crying and yelling at Ms. Stacy.

Ms. Laura made a lil pumpkin for Mommy with a picture of me. It was nice.

At night I ran errands with Mommy. She had to get the wedding pictures from the cameras on the table. She hopes to post some soon.

Ray's Baptism

Today we went to a church to see Ray's Baptism. There were a few other kids there, so I liked looking around. I also had a good time playing at their house afterwards.

Here I am with Daddy.
The priest is anointing Ray. Uncle Norm, Aunt Bev and Aunt Becky are pictured there too. (Aunt Sharon and Uncle Scott are in the background.)

The priest pours water on Ray's head. Aunt Becky is Ray's Godmother.
Scott (from Norm's Brother-in-law) is the Godfather.
Here is the family:
Uncle Norm's mom, Uncle Norm, Ray, Aunt Bev, Noelle, Grandmom and Grandad.

Birthday Celebration

Today was a big day. Mommy and Daddy noticed that my top two teeth have broken skin and are coming in. We went to Grandma and Grandpa Kulp's to celebrate Grandma and Aunt Mandy's birthdays. It was so much fun. I got to have chicken and apples for lunch and I enjoyed them.

I loved Aunt Mandy's Bowl of Eyeballs. It lit up and the eyeballs moved around.

Aunt Mary baked a delicious cake. Well, that's what Mommy and Daddy tell me.

I didn't have cake, but Mommy did give me a little taste of ice cream.
She thought the cold would help with my teething and she was right. It was yummy.
I love playing in the highchair that Grandma and Grandpa got for me.
My cousin Abby made a picture for me. It was so nice of her to think of me.

Funny Noises

Today I learned about opposites, colors and country. I was very happy and attentive during our "lesson". I made funny ducky noises and moos too. I had an odd eating schedule today - maybe I'm growing again. I was pleasant as usual with Ms. Laura in the afternoon.

Mountain Climbing

Today I went mountain climbing. I made it up to the top of the soft mountain all by myself (like a good capricorn) and then got some help to make it down the other side. I was very thirsty this morning. I enjoyed playing with my favorite book "Counting House."

At night I went to the store with Mommy. She wanted to get me some more food and some warmer clothes for school now that it is getting chilly outside. The we came home and played. I was shaking the rattles all around again. I just love music.

Round of Applause

Today I had a very nice time clapping my feet. I was the loudest singer during our circle time and I thought Ms. Stacy's hokey pokey was very funny. I loved making the musical turtle spin and I gave myself a big round of applause for that one.

Both Mommy and Daddy came to pick me up from school they saw me in the older kids room. Since the 1 year-olds had gone for the day I got to go to the next room with Ms. Laura. We went to Aunt Chris's house and I got to spend time with both Aunt Chris and Aunt Sharon. They sang songs for me and showed me Sesame Street on the tv. It was great to hear Row, Row, Row Your Boat. They gave me my carrots and my bottle and tried to give me some peas too, but I wasn't very interested in them. I feel alseep in Aunt Sharon's arms and was then transferred to Aunt Chris's where I also found comfort. It was fun spending time with my aunts.
