Squeaky Dog

When I woke up this morning I decided to sit up in my crib.

Today I was a little impatient with my friends. I was not in a sharing mood. (Mommy and Daddy had a talk with me about this when I got home from school.) I had fun playing with the alphabet ball. Yay! I am interested in education. I was able to get to a sitting position from laying on my back. Ms. Stacy was impressed. Ms. Laura had to give me a teether in the afternoon because I was holding my ears, screaming & yelling. My teeth hurt so bad.

When I got home I was feeling a little better. I drank my bottle and was able to giggle and roll around. I was laughing so hard at my squeaky dog from Erik and Denise. I love to hear his rattle and bark. I showed Daddy how I could sit up and Mommy too when she got home from the library. While Mommy made some dinner Daddy gave me my bath and helped me get ready for bed.

The Sun is Shining Again

I am just about crawling, but my right leg sticks under me. I'm very vocal and active today. I have mastered many different kinds of raspberries which my friends find entertaining. I am in a great mood today!

I had lots of giggles at night. It was great rolling around. I was so proud of myself when I went from lying down to a sitting pose. I was squealing with delight.

Fussy Day

I needed constant attention today. I got up very early in the morning and just wanted Mommy's undivided attention. I really wore her out. She needed to take an afternoon nap. I played with Daddy while she did and then we fell asleep, so when Mommy woke up she ran some errands. I was better in the evening and had time laughing and playing.

Percussionist

Today I had so much fun shaking a variety of rattles. I would even get mad if Daddy or Mommy tried to take it away from me. The one in particular was from Frank and Mary Jane. They live downstairs. I just love the rattle that they gave me. Mommy and Daddy didn't want me to eat it, so that's why they were taking it away from me.

We went to Grandmom and Grandad Wilson's for dinner. It was fun. They had so many toys for me to play with. I loved hitting the xylophone, but wanted to use my hands. I just wanted to twirl and eat the stick to hit it with. I also loved the teddy bears. I had a great time playing with Aunt Becky and Uncle Bob. I got to have my first dessert today. It was called Hawaiian Delight. It was delicious.

Mirror Mirror

Today I was bouncy! I jumped a lot in the exersaucer - it was so much fun, I laughed and squealed! I was very loving today and I gave Ms. Stacy lots of hugs. I tried hard to crawl today and I came very close. I am getting very frustrated watching the boys crawl around so easily.

At night Daddy came and took me to Mommy's work. She had a tough day and had to stay late. Then we went to Ardmore and saw Aunt Chris and Aunt Patti. Mommy had to return some shoes. Aunt Chris made me giggle in the mirror at the store. Then we went to Corner Bakery,
so Mommy and Aunt Patti could have dinner. (See Aunt Chris's picture and videos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wilsonfamilyphotos) I had eaten my applesauce at Mommy's work and I just was not interested in my bottle, even though Mommy and Aunt Chris kept trying. My teeth are hurting a little today.

Vocal

I was very thirsty and very tired this morning. Before I fell asleep I was very vocal. I said lots of loud "Da-das" and "Na-nas." I also kept pulling up to stand on Ms. Stacy.

In the evening, I played for a while with Mommy. We played the keyboard and with the alphabet ball. Then Mommy let me roll around in the crib and try to crawl. She thought I was tired because I was rubbing my eyes and getting fussy and because I only had one nap today. I was scooting backwards, but I am not able to move forward just yet. I am trying very hard. Mommy kept putting her face up to the crib and I thought it was very funny. Then we went to the other room and I played in the pack and play while Mommy was starting dinner. I wanted to be able to see Mommy, so she helped me get to the floor so I could roll around. Daddy came home just after that. He made me giggle so much. We had a great time laughing and playing. I also got to "talk" to Grandmom Wilson on the phone today. I was very interested in the phone and what she had to say, so it took me a while to respond with my giggles.

Babies are Funny

Today I spent so much time pulling up on Ms. Stacy. I also spent a lot of time playing with the weebles and their barnyard. I thought Baby Andrew was so funny when he made cooing and gurgling sounds. I was making a lot of kissing noises and raspberries. Ms. Laura said I was pleasant in the afternoon. I had a great time playing on the floor with Paul and Karli.

At night I had fun playing with Mommy and Daddy. Daddy was blowing raspberries and making me laugh. I got to roll all around the floor and climb all over Mommy.

Flirting with the Boys

Today I was quite affectionate to Paul - he was sitting next to me and I hugged him so vigorously that we both toppled over. I was very vocal and laughed and squealed while I rolled around on the floor. I loved it when Gavin played peek-a-boo with me.

At night I played with Daddy. We laughed and had so much fun. I enjoyed playing with the duckies during my bath.

Attention!

Today I spent lots of time trying to crawl. I managed to get myself kneeling from a laying down position. I really just wanted to stand. Ms. Stacy helped me stand at the activity table and I let everyone know how disappointed I was when she had to tend to someone else. Ms. Stacy said how much she loved my outfit today. That makes me feel good.

At night I spent time with Mommy. We played with my musical duck toy and with my Lamaze doll. I loved her crinkly dress. We also watched a new Baby Einstein video that Mommy and daddy got for me. It is called Baby Wordsworth. I absolutely loved the puppets and I laughed so hard. Mommy took a little video.

Fun Day with Mom and Dady

Today I decided that I wanted to sit up in my bouncy chair. Mommy had seen this before, but I stayed like this for a while, so she was surprised. I also decided to move over to Mommy and pull myself up to standing. Mommy and Daddy know that they are in trouble now, but that can wait until I start crawling and walking.

I also had fun playing Peek-a-boo with Mommy and Daddy's hats
when we went out to eat at Pearl.

Then we went to the playground. I had a great time "walking" with Daddy.

I had a great time ont he slide with Mommy and Daddy.

I also loved being in the swing.
Mommy had to remind me that it was very important to hold on.

Musical Day

Today I went to the city with Mommy and Daddy. Mommy and I walked to the park while Daddy practiced Kung Fu. On our way to the park Mommy showed me the hospital where I was born. While we were in the park we saw a man playing a Chinese instrument. He told us it was called theehruis. (Also known as a ehru.)

I gave him a nice smile as he played music for us. I got to eat my peaches while sitting in the park but I got very distracted by people walking by. So many people asked Mommy if she was registered to vote, she kept telling them that she was and would get me registered to vote if I was old enough. Daddy called just as I started my bottle and so we went to meet Daddy and his friend Ryan for lunch. After lunch we started to go home and I took a nap in the car. We had stopped at a music store and I woke up as Daddy was trying to get his new keyboard in the car. Mommy came to see me to help calm me down. I was still very tired. Later in the evening I got to play with Daddy's new keyboard. He set me up in my chair and let me play the keys. I hope to learn how to play better when I get a little older.

Friends and Family

Today I had a lovely time playing with my friends at school. Mommy took a picture of me with one of my best friends - Gavin. His Mommy said it was ok to put it on the blog. We have so much fun playing together.

I was mostly interested in the soft toys today, especially the cow and the car. I was also trying out lots of sounds, one in particular sounded like I was French and rolling my "Rs." I was also a terrific raspberry blower today.

At night we took a family trip to Aunt Chris's house. Aunt Patti was there too. Aunt Sharon and Uncle Scott helped hold me while Mommy helped Aunt Chris hang some pictures around her new house. Daddy and Uncle Scott helped too when the pictures got too high for Mommy to reach. Aunt Patti tried to help make me laugh. I was getting very sleepy while they were working on the pictures and I wound up falling asleep on Aunt Sharon's lap. She was so comfy and I loved playing with her hair.

Getting Ready...

Today I got up on my hands and toes and rocked back and forth. I really want to crawl! I had a fun time "talking" and playing with Grant while he was in the pack and play (I was safe from his rambunctiousness.) I clapped for myself in the mirror a lot today.

When I got home I was sticking out my tongue a lot. Mommy thought it was pretty funny. We played for a while and then I ate my dinner. I was getting pretty sleepy, but got a second wind. When Mommy and Daddy had their dinner ready I started to get really sleepy again and wanted attention. When Mommy was finished she gave me a bath and noticed how interested I was in the picking up the bubbles on my hand. The she held me for a little while and put me in bed. I was out like a light.

Squeaky Noises

Today I seem to have a bit of a head cold (sniffling, runny nose, tired, watery eyes), but I'm not letting that keep me down. I'm making funny squeaky noises and laughing with my friends. I was very proud of myself when I learned how to stop myself from swinging by holding the bar. I can't wait to hear Mommy. I loved hearing her voice on the phone. She comes home from her business trip tomorrow.

Shaking My Booty

Today I had the best time in the exersaucer. Paul was playing peek-a-boo with me and I just laughed and laughed. I also loved standing at the leap-frog table (with help). I really shook my booty to the jazzy version of the alphabet song.

Raspberry Marathon

Monday was a much more interesting day, then, because Kiley came over with Paulie! Well, first Grandma reminded Aunt Jill about the little umbrella stroller she'd found in the back room, so Aunt Jill got that out and, since it was such a nice breezy day, we went outside for a while. Aunt Jill rolled me around on the porch and sidewalk - I like going really fast, of course. Aunt Jill then set me up in the grass and we spent a while blowing raspberries at each other (which, of course, was a theme throughout the whole weekend - Aunt Jill said thankfully I'd wait until AFTER I ate to do it...) until Kiley and Paul got there. We went inside and then we played for a while on the blanket with Mommy Schaller and Auntie Jill until I (who absolutely loved Kiley's shiny necklace) started getting sleepy. I went down for a nap then, and was OUT for a loooong time! The funniest thing was that before going up for my nap, when I would get a little fussy, Paulie would see me starting to cry and would have a sympathy cry on my behalf! Aunt Jill said that trying to settle down two babies at once while you're laughing too hard from the amusement of it is kinda tough...

Then Daddy got there - but I was still asleep! So Daddy played with Paulie and caught up with Kiley for a while, talking about Obama and more "adult" stuff while Auntie Jill lazed on the floor to get the rest she needed, since I was tiring her out. After a while I finally woke up again, and what a wake-up call to have Daddy right there to pick me up! I was so happy to see him, and then I played together with Paulie some more on the blanket. Paulie kept smiling at me, but when I started in with my raspberry marathon, he started to look a little... um, disturbed? Or impressed? I couldn't tell. But I just kept going and going and going, soaking my shirt and everything - it was hilarious! Aunt Jill thinks I was still going when Kiley and Paul had to leave. The family managed to get a few nice pictures of the us together on Grandma's camera, and Aunt Jill thinks Kiley and Daddy both got some on their phones.

Mommy said that we need to send a very special thanks to Aunt Jill for helping keep my blog up-to-date over the last couple of days. Also for giving me the love and care I needed while Mommy and Daddy were away. It was so much fun! Thanks so much Aunt Jill, Aunt Mandy, Grandma and Grandpa! I love you all.

It's Getting Hot in Here

Sunday was a lazy day - we got up early and had some applesauce since we didn't have any oatmeal. I love the high chair. I constantly get distracted by the cute cartoon animals printed on it, turning around just as Aunt Jill was about to give me a bite. Aunt Jill joked that she thinks I have BADD (baby ADD). We played on the blanket on the floor for a while after another nap and lunch and I was happy to see her letter toy again. By then Chris and Ariel were over to visit with our parents, so Aunt Mandy and Aunt Jill had lots of fun playing with the me in the front room while the "adults" discussed "adult" things in the dining room. (Aunt Jill and I think we usually prefer that anyway...) I really enjoyed the tickle monster attacking me, and trying to get to Aunt Mandy's hair. I started to feel a little too warm and got a bit fussy, so we moved up to the living room into the air conditioning instead, and I settled right down again. I hate the heat. Aunt Jill thinks I'm a smart baby! The second night I was in Grandma and Grandpa's room, in air conditioning, with Aunt Jill sleeping on the futon beside me. I slept better the second night, so well that Aunt Jill thinks she was up before me on Monday morning.

Mommy & Daddy's Wedding

Today Mommy got me up early and we went to Grandmom's and Grandad's house. Grandmom fed me and Aunt Becky played with me while Mommy was getting her hair done. They also gave me a bath, so I would be all pretty for the wedding. I had a big role. I was coming down the aisle in a wagon. I was so good during the ceremony. It was a lot of fun. It was also very hot. I was ok in the church, but the reception hall was worse. I started to get cranky, partly from the heat, but also from being tired. It was so much fun to watch the service and the photographer kept making me laugh, it was great. Mommy and Daddy looked so happy. I had a great time with Aunt Sharon and Scott too. They are fun to be around. (Pictures are coming soon.)

Well, Saturday after the wedding was a bit aggravating because we got caught in traffic on the way home, but I managed to entertain my grandparents and aunts with all sorts of sounds, songs and raspberries. I liked all the faces Aunt Jill kept making at me over the seat. I also liked peek-a-boo when Aunt Jill would hide away behind the seat and then pop up on any side. It was always a surprise. I laughed so much that I had the rest of my family laughing along with me. When we finally got home I was hungry, so we had dinner right away. Afterwards we sat around the table and just blew raspberries at each other and "talked" - I love saying "da da da," and the "nah nah nah," but Aunt Jill kept trying to get me used to the "ma ma ma" - I just blew a raspberry at her instead. I do the same thing to Mommy. Then I started getting sleepy, so we sat in the front room and Aunt Jill put on Rosencranz and Guildenstern Are Dead - hardly a baby movie, but I absolutely refused to sleep! I kept bouncing and wiggling on Aunt Mandy's lap with my eyes glued to the screen. Aunt Jill thinks it was that I knew I would fall asleep if I sat still, but I didn't want to miss the movie. Eventually though I couldn't fight it anymore. I woke up a couple of times during the night and seemed to know I wasn't at home and was a little scared, but Aunt Jill just held me for a few minutes on the couch and I settled down again nicely. Aunt Jill says her favorite times, besides the playing and the silly noises, are when I get cuddly and lay my head and hand on her chest. Mommy and Daddy love that too.

Rehearsal

I went to school this morning a little late and played with my friends. I had a fit of giggles watching Gavin chase Karli around the room. I thought they were so funny. Karli was making monster noises and Gavin was chasing her laughing. I can't wait until I'm mobile and can join in the fun. I also spent a lot of time on my feet today, dancing in front of the mirror - with help. Daddy picked me up early and we went to the church to have the rehearsal. It was raining when we were headed to the city. I got to practice riding in the wagon and see Mommy and Daddy practice for their wedding. It was fun to see my cousins, Noelle and Ray and also to see little John. I love watching the older kids. I don't get to interact much with Ray yet because he is too little. I liked hearing the echo of my sounds in the empty church, so I was making a lot of noises. After the rehearsal we went out to dinner. I was so hungry that Daddy had to go and get me more to drink. Mommy and I were getting very tired and so we stayed home instead of going to Grandmom and Grandad's like we had planned. Mommy decided that it was better to go in the morning.

X-Ray

This morning I went with Mommy to the hospital to get an X-Ray of my hips. I was really uncomfortable lying on the table and so I cried. Mommy was holding my hands and it didn't really last so long. I was fine afterwards. When we went to see the doctor I had fun playing with the crinkly paper. Mommy sang songs with me until the doctor came by. I am doing very well, but there is an angle difference in my hips and the doctor wants to see me again after I start walking to see if it is better. After the doctors, Mommy took me to school to play with my friends.
I was very happy playing with the roll-arounds. Gavin showed me how to drop them in the hole and open up the door to let them out. I loved my mixed veggies today - Ms. Stacy didn't even have to sing to me.

Terrific Day

Today I had a terrific day! I was so happy and interactive this morning. I was full of energy, rolling all around and rocking back and forth. I was clapping and making kissing noises a lot. I loved singing "Wheels on the Bus" while Ms. Stacy moved my hands to the motions. I played the xylophone and the light toys. I also played in the walker. I practiced walking holding my teachers hands. I was energetic later today too, after my good long nap.

At night I went to the mall with Daddy again. He just had to pick a few things up. We weren't there very long. Then we went to two grocery stores because Mommy requested salmon for dinner and the first store didn't have it. When we came home all the neighbors were outside, so we got to hang out with them for a little. Frank makes me laugh so much. It was good to see Desiree walking. She will have her first birthday on the 19th. She loves bags. When Mommy came home Desiree walked over to her to try to get her bag. Later in the evening, I was blowing raspberries and had a bath. Then Tamme came over to get a few things from Mommy and Daddy for the wedding. She is arranging the flowers. I was getting very sleepy when she was here.

Picture Day

Today I was in a terrific mood! I smiled nicely for my pictures according to Ms. Chris. Mommy and Daddy said they can't wait to see them. I woke up happy from my nap, ate lunch, sang and clapped my hands for a long time on the floor. I was like Gladys Knight night with my boy pips! I chewed on a teether today. I looked in the mirror and played on the little mat mountain. Grant and I played together today. I was clapping my hands all day.

When I got home I heard some bad news from Mommy. Billy, who is Daddy's best man for the wedding, was hit by a car when he was riding his bike. He had to spend lots of time in the hospital. He had surgery and the doctors expect that he will be able to walk very soon. We hope that he gets better very soon.

Later in the evening we got some more bad news. Grandmom Wilson called and said my Great Aunt Theresa had a few strokes and is in the hospital. She had some mini strokes on Sunday, so she went to the doctors on Monday and had a big stoke that evening which affected her right side. We are happy that Uncle Frank was there to notice that her speech was a little slurred, so she could have good care when the big one came. We are sending lots of love her way. We hope that she gets better.

Mommy said that's now three people who have been in the hospital this week, so hopefully we won't have to worry too much about other friends and family getting hurt right now. She said it was best to send everyone our love and let them know we care about them. So, I'm smiling for you now. I hope it warms your heart.

Painting

Today I was really stretching to reach toys! One of these days I'm going to just take off. I enjoy playing with "the boys" and I'm not afraid to go after them when they take something from me. I did a project with paint today too. Ms. Stacy helped me to do my handprints and footprints. Mommy hopes to scan it soon.

At night I went to the mall with Daddy. He had a to get a couple things for the wedding. Mommy went to the library to meet with the middle school group for their pizza night. She said it was packed. She brought home dinner and I was not interested in watching my parents eat. I really wanted Mommy to pay attention to me and hold me.

Let's Do the Twist

Today Mommy dressed me up to practice because Tuesday is picture day at school.
Don't I look cute? I smiled every time I looked in the mirror.
I love getting my hair brushed - as long as my show isn't on.

Daddy took me up to see Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Mandy and Aunt Jill.
I had such a great time there. I ate my carrots.

I practiced dancing to the twist with Daddy.
I laughed so hard when everyone joined in.

Grandpa got to hold me a lot today. I loved it.

It was sad that Grandma hurt her wrist.
I know that it will get better soon and she will be able to hold me again.
I'll be wishing that it heals quickly, Grandma.

Lazy Saturday

Today I got up a little later than usual and Mommy was happy. We ate breakfast and then went to Dino's in South Philly to get some things for the wedding. I was awake for the whole car ride down. It was fun to see a different place. Everyone was smiling at me and saying nice things about me to Mommy. At the store, Mommy got what she needed and the woman at the store gave me a special "Hello Kitty" balloon. It was so nice of her. I loved watching it move.

We got home just as the rain was starting. A big storm was coming. Mommy was smart to get a head start on the day. We mostly played at home. I love my new blocks and Daddy brought out the drum, so I could play. It was a lot of fun. I also had fun dancing with Daddy today too.

Clapping hands

Today I had an early lunch and a pretty long nap. I was busy this morning making music and dancing to Jessica Harper songs. I got so excited when I stood (with help) at the playschool table and felt the air on my hair. I had a nice time in the swing as well - checking out the toys and mobile.

After school I ran some errands with Mommy. I fell asleep in the car , as usual, and woke up at one store. Mommy said it was ok to go back to sleep and I did. When I got up Mommy was preparing to get me a bottle. She had to get water to make it, so we went to a vending machine that we saw in the Macys. She put in her money, but couldn't get the water - it was sold out. Then we tried another vending machine at the Springfield mall entrance and she put the money in again and it was sold out of water. Finally we were able to get water at the Subway and I got my bottle. Mommy was a little frustrated byt that time. Then we ran some more errands. When we got to Bed Bath and Beyond we saw Kate. I was so happy to see her that I clapped my hands and was talking to her. Mommy hadn't seen me clap my hands yet, so Kate was there to experience this too. I still won't clap on demand yet, but I know how to do it. Mommy was very proud of me. :)

New Friend

Today I met a new friend at school named Andrew. I had smiles and giggles for him! I loved playing with the Weebles and their barnyard house. I laughed a lot while I was playing. I was fussy again at lunch time. I was really pulling on my left ear a lot, although I was in a happy and silly mood mostly.

When I got home I was pretty sleepy, so I took a nap. When I got up I wanted a bottle really bad. I didn't care much for my harvest vegetables, although I did eat some. After dinner I had fun playing with a new toy. Mommy got me some blocks that fit in a little basket. I also had a great time dancing with Daddy. I can't wait until the wedding!!!

Happy Birthday Aunt Becky!

I was enthralled by Ms. Stacy's bubble blowing this morning. I sat among oodles of bubbles just staring and trying to catch them. I had a lot of fun shaking keys and playing with the ladybug drum. I was quite inventive and beat the underside of it. (Dancing away while I did it.)

At night I went downstairs to Frank and Mary Jane's. Mommy and Daddy had some things to do for the wedding. I had such a great time. Frank makes faces and sounds that make me giggle. Joe played with me on the mat on the floor. Tiffany was there too and played with me. Franco came over. His wife is expecting a baby soon. It will be great to have a new friend to play with. Mary Jane gave me a bath in the sink. It was so much fun splashing in the water. Mommy and Daddy got to see this.

Today is Aunt Becky's birthday. I hope she had a great day!

Fabulous Day

Today I had a fabulous day! I was happy and talkative. I had lots to say to the toys especially the "shaky kitty." I loved playing with the Peek-a-Boo park as well as many different rattles. I laughed at Gavin while he was being tickled and then I enjoyed my own tickles.

At night I spent some time with Daddy while Mommy was volunteering at the library. We had fun playing on the quilt and talking.

It's too loud

Today I got up with Daddy. Mommy needed a chance to sleep in a little. I was pretty fussy today. I screamed at the sound of the vacuum cleaner and needed constant attention. My cold is still bugging me and one of my top teeth is starting to pop through. When I wanted Daddy's attention - I said Da Da and he came to get me. I had a little time of silliness when I was in my pack and play. I was talking a lot and leaned forward stuck out my tongue and licked the side of the pack and play. I watched Daddy put together a wardrobe and I was not happy when Mommy and Daddy moved it into the bedroom. I didn't want to be alone at all today, but I understand that it was for my safety. Mommy took me into the room to explain and I laughed when I saw what a mess it was. I am glad that it was cleaned up before my bedtime.
